Who is Catalyst Tech Ventures?

Catalyst Tech Ventures was formed as both a Holding Company and a Technology Investment company for select tech start-ups. Our holdings are mostly centered on IT hardware and support services, especially for companies moving to the cloud,  and on the skills and people needed in this new environment.

Mark Metz

CEO

Mark Metz is a serial entrepreneur who has founded three $100 million technology companies, all with successful exits. These companies include Optimus Solutions, Canvas Systems, and Corus360 and he was a main investor in Atadata, which was sold to Deloitte. Metz’ success in the business world led to him winning the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2005.

He founded Relus Technologies in 2013 and Relus Cloud in 2015, which had a successful exit to CloudReach. In 2015, Metz founded 22TechPark, which is the first technology incubator in Peachtree Corners that aims to help local entrepreneurs. Metz founded ReluTech and its sister company, NerdRabbit, in 2019 and currently serves as the CEO for both companies.

Before starting his successful career in the business world, Metz was Furman Athlete of the Year in 1985 and was the Southern Conference swimmer of the year and an Olympic Trials Qualifier. Metz currently lives in Peachtree Corners with his wife and two children, where he is an active member of the YMCA.
